national reconciliation week

At AET, we are pleased to have been able to support National Reconciliation Week for several years. However, reconciliation isn’t something that happens one week of the year, we work toward reconciliation every day through our values, actions and through our work.

What is reconciliation?

At its heart, reconciliation is about strengthening relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous peoples, for the benefit of all Australians.

What is National Reconciliation Week?

National Reconciliation Week is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.

2021 marks twenty years of Reconciliation Australia and almost three decades of Australia’s formal reconciliation process.

The theme for National Reconciliation Week 2021 is ‘More than a word. Reconciliation takes action.’

How do we support Native Title groups and indigenous communities?
