National Reconciliation Week was sponsored by AET again this year. National Reconciliation Week is an annual event that runs from 27 May to 3 June and aims to encourage all Australians to learn more about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and histories to help us grow as a nation.

We have also developed a Reconciliation Action Plan that aims to increase our employee’s cultural awareness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Our vision is to create a workplace culture that is respectful towards Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and their unique place in society. Our Reconciliation Action Plan seeks to:

  • break down stereotypes and discrimination
  • show respect
  • engage
  • offer our expertise
  • create opportunity.

AET has extensive experience in managing Native Title trusts. If you wish to find out more about our expertise please contact us on 1800 078 680 or email our Native Title Trusts Team.

AET is now one of the largest compensation trust providers in Australia

On 28 September 2017, our parent company IOOF purchased National Australia Trustees Limited (NATL). We are pleased to announce that all assets and liabilities have now been transferred to Executor Trustees Limited, creating one combined trustee company. This transfer was approved by ASIC on 6 July 2018.

This means that AET is now one of the largest compensation trust providers in Australia, with over $2 billion under administration in compensation trusts. The purchase of NATL reinforces our position as a specialist trustee services provider and as a trusted partner who will help Australians build, manage, protect and transfer their wealth to give them peace of mind about their financial future.
