Executor Assist
More and more, Executors and their financial advisers are seeking out the specialist services of AET for help with the more complex aspects of the administration of an estate.
We identify the key responsibilities involved in the administration of an estate, allowing the Executor to select those tasks they would like to retain and those tasks they wish to delegate to AET to perform as their agent.
This service gives Executors and their trusted financial advisers the choice of using AET to assist with certain specific functions including:
- Confirming the assets and liabilities of an estate
- Obtaining Probate
- Reconstructing a CGT history for estate assets subject to CGT
- Dividing up investment portfolios to equalise the distribution of the estate
- Attending to asset transfers and sales
- Preparation of Taxation returns
- Helping attend the registration of death on any jointly owned assets
- Accounting and record keeping for the estate.
We charge a ‘fee for service’ when assisting Executors. The fee will vary according to the amount of work involved. Unlike many legal firms, AET will provide a written obligation free fixed price quote to attend to any of these specific functions.
Executor appointments
AET is able to act as an Executor, either solely, or in conjunction with other individuals.
Where AET acts as an Executor, we take on the responsibility for the entire estate administration process.

AET charges a fee for acting as Executor and Trustee. The fees for acting as an Executor and Trustee are applied according to the relevant Trustee Companies Act in each State and Territory.
